First Equity Mortgage
This mortgage company called on EVH Marketing several years ago for a simple website update for one of their loan officers and followed that up with a multitude of print and direct mail projects. EVH has designed, written copy for, and printed direct mail pieces, letterhead, event flyers, and posters.
EVH has also created several different email templates and worked with First Equity’s loan officers to send regular emails to clients and referral sources. To-date EVH has designed and implemented over twelve different direct marketing campaigns—handling every detail right down to addressing, sealing and stamping the envelopes.
(In early 2015 First Equity Mortgage became a part of a larger company: Total Mortgage.)
Direct Mail Pieces
Over the years we’ve tried several different approaches to direct mail—letters on basic letterhead, letters on specially-designed letterhead, post cards, self-mailer brochures, and greeting card style. All direct mail pieces were customized for each loan officer and mailed to their clients. Each and every piece was hand-addressed by EVH Marketing and signed by the loan officers. A lot of work? Yes, but personalization and attention to detail are key to great customer service. And the open rate for those hand-addressed pieces resulting in high success rates.

There are lots of reasons why your business may not have marketing staff: you may not have 40 hours of marketing work to be done each week, you may not be able to afford salary and benefits for additional employees, or maybe you just don’t want those goofy marketing people dancing around the office everyday.
Neither is marketing. Alright, I wouldn’t begin to presume marketing is anything close to brain surgery, but the point is why would you do the marketing work yourself when you can work with a marketing expert?
Marketing isn’t about the latest, greatest, coolest, fanciest, funkiest, most award-winning…”campaign”. Yep, all those things are pretty good, but what’s most important is your business. Well, that and getting more of it.
